Why Focus In on African Countries?
Being an African American woman, I wanted to learn more about Africa. The different countries within the content, the cultures and my roots. Being that I wanted to learn my roots, culture and history, I wanted to learn it directly from the source. Each African country has its own story, its own history and it’s own culture. Seeing the vast beauty of Africa and its people for myself made me realize the way its depicted isn’t true. They aren’t all poor, hungry, and impoverished. They are rich in tradition, culture, majestic beauty, and history. They own homes, businesses, they have streets, stores, and malls. The things they don’t show us about African countries are profoundly important.
Seeing Africa for myself made me want to create a affordable travel business that helps other African Americans travel to Africa. Using our US dollars for tourism can help build the economies of multiple African countries. We are trend setters whatever we do becomes the thing to do so why not make African countries the top tourist destinations. By doing this we get to learn our history while building their future.
Linking our heritage with its origins is important. Having our own writers and poets document their experiences and our histories that they learn while abroad. Using travel as a way to improve the world and obtain true knowledge and discover hidden treasures of our ancestors can help us connect to the world around us even better by bridging the gaps of inequality written through a vastly unnoticed timeline. So join us on our mission!
